Position Title: Senior Inspection Engineer
Business Division: Well Integrity (Dukhan)

Primary Purpose Of The Job: Directs, co-ordinates and manages all wellhead, well casing and well tubing corrosion related issues with Well & Well Integrity activities in the Dukhan field. Liaises with Well Integrity Engineering in the Department, to collect original/base line data of the wellhead, well casing and well tubing etc.

Involves in the Well Integrity Testing operations from the time Well Integrity test procedure is received till its completion. Responsible for giving initial go ahead for well integrity operations after assessing the condition of the wellhead.

Defines minimum acceptable design factors after reviewing effects of temperature, corrosion and wear & tear etc with regards to burst, collapse and tension/compression.
Develops and mentors less experienced staff. Education: Minimum of B. Sc in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering with API certification in NDT procedures & systems.

Experience & Skills: Minimum 15 years experience in the upstream/downstream oil and gas industry, with a 10 years of proven experience in corrosion/inspection. Minimum 5 yrs supervisor experience in leading corrosion monitoring operations, with direct responsibility corrosion monitoring.

Must have 5+ years experience in well corrosion surveillance, and be familiar with non-destructive testing (NDT), corrosion logs and other diagnostic tools. Proven work experience involving pressure testing equipment, NDT tools, corrosion inhibition plans/chemicals, cathodic protection and corrosion resistant coatings etc.

Proven experience in the pressure testing procedures. Proven experience in mechanical tubing/casing repair methods, including hot work systems. Must have a good understanding of wellheads, flow lines and annulus bleed systems.

Must be able to work in a multi-cultural environment. Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally interact with a broad range of disciplines and levels within the company, including peers, field staff, and senior management.
