Over the course of a year ArabianOilandGas.com reports on many events and conferences covering almost every aspect of the oil and gas industry.
The events we cover can range from huge conferences with tens of thousands of delegates to smaller specialist events covering anything from workboats to jack-up rigs or industry round-tables where three or four experts talk in front of a handful of guests.
What strikes us about every event is how the hydrocarbons sector in the Middle East and beyond really does enjoy coming together and sharing ideas and ideals about how the oil and gas industry needs to keep evolving to ensure that it can maintain pace with an ever-growing global demand for energy.
So with this in mind we give you our top 10 Middle East oil and gas events of 2010. To be honest there are many more than 10 great conferences to attend in the region during the year, but we have tried to reflect as many different sub-sections of the industry as possible. For a more comprehensive list of conferences please click here.
Also if you would like us to list your event drop us an email. Or if you disagree with the list and feel that there are other worthier events then please leave a comment.

Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC)
When: November 1-4
Where: Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC)
Website
ADIPEC, the bi-annual oil and gas conference, opens its doors again for business this year and promises to be bigger and better than ever.
ADIPEC could, quite rightly, claim to be the biggest event of its kind in the Middle East and one of the largest and most prestigious oil & gas conferences in the world. With 1,500 exhibiting companies coming to Abu Dhabi from every corner of the globe this is one event not to be missed and as a result makes it to number one on our list.
As well as the enormous exhibition ADIPEC also runs a conference alongside the exhibition that attracts some of the most respected figures from the hydrocarbons industry. This year’s chairman is Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operators’ (ADCO) General Manager, Abdul Munim Saif Al Kindy (check February’s Oil & Gas Middle East for an exclusive interview) and the call for papers has now gone out.
“ADIPEC has helped to position the region as one of the most important geographies in the international energy industry and I look forward to being a part of that in 2010,” Al Kindy said recently.

The King is calling for a halt to exploration, but do you agree?
