DNV has carried out a successful external audit of the integrated management systems (PAS 99) of Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC).

The auditors verified the integrity of all operations of GPIC, its various activities, working documents and procedures, and the employees' understanding and application over a one-week period.

The audit certified that GPIC complies with the requirements of the PAS 99 systems, the Business Continuity Management System (ISO 22301 and ISO 27001) and the Responsible Care Management System (RC 14001).

GPIC continually conducts the audit because of its desire to ensure that the safety of procedures is in place, in addition to contributing to its further improvement and continuous development, increasing efficiency and sustainable quality of work.

The company recently trained a group of its employees and qualified them to carry out internal audits throughout the year, according to a detailed schedule of more than 70 internal audits to ensure its operations and procedures are in line with requirements and regulations.

GPIC is one of the first companies in the region to introduce administrative systems, which is one of the most applicable management systems in the world. GPIC has a total of 14 administrative systems, which enable the company to undergo various independent external audits continuously and throughout the year.

Commenting on the achievements, Dr Abdulrahman Jawahery, president, GPIC, praised its commitment to the implementation of various global management systems, now one of the most important elements on which the company's success depends.

Dr Jawahery said the executive management and the employees believe in the importance of these audits and their reflection on all actions the company takes to ensure safety of procedures and their efficiency, while continuously improving them.
