Muntajat is expanding its marketing, sales and distribution activities in Europe. After assuming the marketing and sales activities of its high density polyethylene (HDPE) products from its European agent on 16 December 2016, Muntajat, in collaboration with Port of Antwerp, also signed an agreement with Katoen Natie (KTN) for the logistics and distribution of its products in Europe.

Muntajat is now directly offering the full range of polyethylene products in Europe, including low density polyethylene, linear lower density polyethylene, medium density polyethylene and HDPE under the renowned and trusted Lotrene brand.

Muntajat BV – the international marketing network for Muntajat with headquarters located in The Hague, Netherlands – will be responsible for carrying out the marketing activities for the full range of polyethylene in Europe. Muntajat BV has established itself as the only representative in Europe.

As a result of achieving multiple milestones over the last few months, Muntajat further establishes itself as a world-class entity that can manage the complete range of services, which any third party will require to market, sell and distribute their products globally and especially into the EU.

In light of its expansion into Europe, Muntajat has partnered with Port of Antwerp in Belgium to serve as the gateway for its products into the European market. As a result, Muntajat has also signed an agreement with KTN, under which they will supply and manage their polymer logistics and distribution services in Europe. KTN has 160 logistics platforms spread in 30 countries. This new partnership will enable Muntajat to leverage KTN’s integrated and customised solutions for the petrochemical and chemical industry.

Commenting on this achievement, Abdulrahman Ali Al-Abdulla, CEO, Muntajat, said: “We have achieved yet another important milestone in Muntajat’s growth strategy as we expand our reach into the European market. HDPE sales represent 45% of the total polyethylene sales in the region. By marketing and selling our products directly, we consolidate our presence and strengthen our customer relationships in the region offering the added value of acquiring their polyethylene products from one trusted brand. It gives us great confidence to partner with Port of Antwerp authorities and KTN to make this new venture a very successful one for all.”

With Europe now set as a lead target market, Muntajat has established a number of storage facilities in the European downstream hubs. Two storage facilities have already been dedicated for polyethylene products in Belgium and Italy to ensure that customers get their order with minimum lead times.

Muntajat is recognised as a global leader in the marketing of chemical and petrochemical products. The company has set a record number of achievements since its establishment in 2012, becoming a globally trusted chemical and petrochemical provider to customers in more than 120 countries. Muntajat is committed to continue to deliver maximum value to its stakeholders partnering with key industry players while seeking for opportunities to expand to new markets, and grow its portfolio of high quality products.
